Clicker Training - Getting Started

The principle of Clicker Training is to associate the 'click' with the right behavior, reward that behavior, and make sure your puppy understands why he was given the reward. A clicker allows you to mark the correct/wanted behaviors faster than a spoken mark.

The increased speed and accuracy of the clicker help your puppy pick up on exactly what they are being rewarded for. A spoken mark if given too slow may be reinforcing a different behavior than intended.
